This retreat is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and find your own inner quietness. Through yin yoga, silent mornings, mindful meals, and two full days of silence, you create the space to turn inward and restore balance in body, heart, and mind.

The Healing Power of Yin Yoga

Yin yoga works deeply on the connective tissue and the subtle energetic body.
By staying longer in each posture, the meridians – the energy channels known from Chinese medicine – are stimulated. This restores the natural flow of energy (qi), supports self-healing, and helps release blockages.

Yin yoga is a practice of stillness. It offers the opportunity to listen inward and connect with your inner wisdom.
This unique retreat gives you the opportunity to balance your heart, body and mind in a safe and peaceful environment. The retreat will be fully guided by Skadi van Paasschen in a small group (max. 17 people). This ensures that there is plenty of space for personal attention and self reflection. The retreat is located in the stunning mountains of Lago d'Orta in Italy, with nutritious food and beautiful architecture and design. At the end of the retreat you will get a better awareness of your emotions and the values that truly matters to you.

During the retreat you will balance your heart, body and mind. When these three aspects work harmoniously together, you `will be able to take care better of yourself. It will strengthen you physical, emotional and spiritual. This ensures that you will make wiser decisions in daily life.

No previous yoga experience is required – all practices are gentle and guided with care.

What do we do during the retreat?
Yin Yoga
By staying 5 minutes in postures you will work deep in your muscles tissue. This ensures that you get rid of accumulated toxins, emotional patterns, and thoughts. This gives you deep relaxation and will balance you physically and emotionally.

Being Surrounded By Water
The retreat is surrounded by lakes. Water represents JOY according to Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine teaches that one of the functions of water within the body is to move emotions and metabolic waste. When the body needs more liquid to flush out toxins, it will draw water from the bones, muscles and the brain. 85% of our brain tissue is water. So drinking and swimming in clean natural water supports your physical and emotional process during the retreat.

Walking meditation
By going outside and walk consciously you will get in touch of the negative ionic charge found in nature. Not only this will shift your negative emotions, it will make you see things more clearly. So, enjoying the breathtaking surroundings of the retreat will support your inner process and gives you a great sense of relief.

Food
During the retreat you eat inspired, medicinal food that will make your system sing, relax and detox. You do not eat meat, dairy, bread and sugar and do not drink coffee. All products are of biological quality. Detoxing is not the same as fasting. The meals are buffet style and there is plenty of food, if you need a lot or extra energy.

Sleeping more than 8 hours
Treat yourself during the whole stay as a patient. When complex emotions starts to build momentum, it can feel like a snowball of yuck getting stronger and stronger. If this is the case, and you just can’t see even a glimmer of light, the next best step is to go sleeping. This is important because every time we sleep you give the emotional body a big reset. So, enough sleep during the retreat is crucial.

The Program
During the program, each day will consist of yin yoga class withe a little yang, deep relaxation practice, silence walk and meditation sessions.
The program will begin upon the date of arrival with an introduction to the retreat.

Day of arrival:
15:00 Arrival and check in at Mandali retreat center
16:00 Introduction to the retreat and Yin Yoga
19:00 Dinner. Free time to walk around, get to know each other.
And if you have special requests or if you have injuries, this is the time to tell Skadi
20:45 Meditation.

08:00 – 09:00 Dynamic morning yoga
09:00 – 09:30 Silent breakfast
10:30 – 13:00 Yin yoga with pranayama and meditation + (weather permitting) silent nature walk
13:00 Lunch
17:30 – 19:00 Yin yoga with focus on meridians and their healing qualities
19:00 – 20:00 Dinner
20:15 – 21:00 Evening meditation
This rhythm of movement, silence, yin yoga, and meditation creates a safe container in which you can soften, release, and recharge – an invitation to truly come home to yourself.

Terms of Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment is required in full at the time of booking, via bank transfer, in Euro currency.
If a cancellation is received in writing more than 60 days before the day of arrival, no cancellation fee is charged and a full refund is given.
If the booking is cancelled between 30 and 60 days in advance, you will be refunded 50% of your payment.
Cancellation within 30 days prior to departure will NOT be refunded.
